The LithiumSafe™ Battery Bag is a fire containment bag designed for spare lithium batteries and portable electronic devices (PED) carrying them.
The unique, multi-layered configuration of the Lithium safety bag consists of high temperature insulation & fire resisting materials that are able to withstand the explosive release of energy and cell combustion, as a result of a lithium ion thermal runaway.

Exceptional Lithium Battery Fire Insulation Performance
All materials used are non-combustible and withstand continuous temperatures up to 1100 °C (2012 °F). A lithium battery fire can easily reach 600–1000 °C (1112–1832 °F).
In addition to its extreme temperature resistance, the insulation material features exceptionally low thermal conductivity, allowing for minimal material thickness without compromising protection. Even at elevated temperatures, the material significantly outperforms conventional insulation alternatives.
Its thermal conductivity increases only marginally as temperature rises, while shrinkage at maximum temperature remains minimal — ensuring structural integrity under fire exposure. The material is thermally shock-resistant and withstands rapid heating and cooling cycles over extended periods, making it ideally suited for lithium battery thermal runaway scenarios.

Available Sizes and Fire Containment Kit Configurations
Lithium batteries — and the devices containing them — are available in a wide range of shapes and sizes. To accommodate the most common portable electronics, three standard LithiumSafe® Fire Containment Bag sizes are manufactured and available from stock:
• Large 17″ laptop size (LSBB4744 and LSBB1000)
• Standard tablet size (LSBB3532)
• Pocket size for smaller electronics (LSBB2016)
In addition to individual bags, LithiumSafe Bags are also supplied as complete fire containment kits, including the LithiumSafe® Protective Gloves. In the kit configuration, the bag is folded around the gloves, creating a compact and space-efficient solution ideal for storage and rapid deployment.
