The LithiumSafe™ Gloves UL5800 are purpose-developed to meet the glove requirements specified in the UL5800 aviation standard for lithium battery fire containment equipment. UL5800 requires gloves to comply with EN 12477 Type B, a performance standard that combines heat resistance with the dexterity needed for safe handling of lithium battery incidents. This optimized balance of thermal protection and dexterity allows operators to safely handle overheated batteries, Personal Electronic Devices (PEDs), and damaged battery packs during emergency situations. The gloves provide the flexibility and grip required for the safe transfer and insertion of affected devices into a certified LithiumSafe™ containment system, supporting effective battery fire response and containment procedures.
